Sybase ASE - Cannot start the sybase service - process terminated unexpectedly

When you are unable to start the sybase SQL server service from contol panel --> services

The last alternative is to reinstall sybase.

Before proceeding to that,

Go to the install directory > bin

Double click to start the RUN_SERVERNAME file. This should start the server and you will not need to reinstall sybase.

Remote desktop connection not working

When you hit the error, "An unhandled win32 exception occured in mstsc.exe" or "Faulting application mstsc.exe, version" or you are unable to use the remote desktop connection,

Go to Start--> My computer--> Right Click --> Properties --> Advanced --> Remote --> Advanced

Click on 'OK' and restart your machine.

Mstsc is reinstalled on your machine when doing this and you should not be facing any unhandled exceptions.
